Estates & death cleaning
Managing a home and its contents after a loss is one of the most demanding tasks there is — not only because of the practical complexity, but because every object carries a story. I work with families who find themselves facing a house to clear and do not know where to begin.
I also work with people who want to bring order to their own home before others have to. In Sweden this is called döstädning — death cleaning. Those who choose it describe it as one of the most lucid and loving things they can do for the people they will leave behind.
What I do
- I assess the situation with the family: how many rooms, how many people involved, what will happen to the property
- I build a tailored plan — we do not start by throwing things away, we start by understanding
- I identify and coordinate all necessary professionals: valuers for objects of worth, charities for donations, removal companies for disposal
- I am present throughout every stage of the work, side by side
- I handle documentation and logistics where needed
I work across Italy and abroad, in person. Every project is different — the first conversation is always free.
Why work with me
I have been a professional organizer since 2009. I know how to read what a home contains — the stories objects carry and the weight they represent for those who remain.
I have worked with families in moments of loss and transition. I recognise the moment people are living through and adapt my pace to theirs — without rushing, without forcing, with the discretion every situation calls for.
